A team of people are currently employed by Tobar an Dualchais with others working on a freelance basis. Some of the team are based in offices in South Uist, the Isle of Skye and Edinburgh while others, including the cataloguers, work from home in various locations throughout Scotland. As a result, it is anticipated that Tobar an Dualchais will stimulate the economy of different parts of Scotland, including some of the areas which provided many of the original recordings.
